Floods attacked Ethiopia

The severe floods started in Ethiopia since early August 2006, aggravated during mid-August. Till 16 August, at least 700 people dead because of the floods.

Torrential rain attacked Karachi, Pakistan

In mid-August, heavy rains attacked Pakistan's biggest city Karachi, disrupted traffic, electricity and communication systems. Till 19th, at least 28 people died.

Philippines suffered floods and landslides

In mid-August, monsoonal rain struck the southern Philippines and caused floods and landslides, causing 16 deaths and tens of thousands of people evacuated.

Floods attacked Vietnam

In mid-August, heavy rains attacked middle and northern Vietnam, caused floods and landslides. Till 18 August, at least 19 people were killed and thousands of people had to evacuate.
