BCC Provided Latest Climate Prediction Services for the Three Gorges

Since mid-August of this year, BCC has provided the latest rolling model prediction for the Three Gorges every five days. The Seminar of water storage of 156 meters in the Three Gorges sponsored by the Three Gorges Construction Committee held on September 5. Mr. Liu Haibo, a director of Department of Forecasting Services and Disaster Mitigation/CMA and Ms. Ai Wanxiu from BCC attended the meeting. On the meeting, Ms. Ai Wanxiu gave the climate trend prediction of the Three Gorges areas in the Yangtze River from late September to early October, based on the climate background and the water characteristic of this year, and combined the latest climate model predict results. It is a climate protection for the smooth water storage of 156 meters in the Three Gorges.
