May 15, Climate Change Center of CMA hold its inauguration ceremony in Beijing. Dr. Zheng Guoguang (Administrator of CMA) and Dr. Shen Xiaonong (Deputy Administrator of CMA) unveiled the tablet of the Climate Change Center. After Climate Change Center officially established, it’s a new beginning for CMA to reply to climate change.
The foundation of Climate Change Center will further improve climate change science and technology, professional and service levels, and plays a more active role of CMA’s reply to climate change in China. At the same time, it will work together with relevant departments from home and abroad, and also strengthen the decision-making and public service functions of climate change.
Leaders and experts from National Climate Center, National Meteorological Center, National Satellite Meteorological Center, Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences, National Meteorological Information Center and related departments attended the inauguration ceremony of Climate Change Center.
