Beijing Climate Center (BCC) of China Meteorological Administration (CMA) has recently developed and completed a new-generation Climate Intelligent Prediction and Analysis System (CIPAS2.3), which is a crowdsourcing innovative platform based on the big data technology.
As an effort to improve the operational prediction of ENSO, Beijing Climate Center has launched "System of ENSO Monitoring, Analysis and Prediction" (SEMAP2.0) in 2015. The SEMAP2.0 provides three kinds of ENSO prediction products routinely in the middle of each month.
This system supports seven major disasters, i.e., rainstorm, flood, typhoon, drought, high temperature, low temperature, ocean gale, and global typhoon. It is a whole-process disaster risk operation integrating disaster monitoring and identification, impact assessment, risk prediction, risk zoning and online product analysis. It can be used to generate 1900 disaster risk products in seven categories.
