On 4 August 2006, Dr. Chen Deliang, Science Director of NCC, delivered a report on "construction of operational path on climate and climate change" in NCC. Dr. Chen's exciting report had drawn great interest of NCC staff and experts from other institutions in CMA.
Dr. Chen mainly introduced on 1) the status of climate centers in developed countries, and their operational construction on climate and climate change; 2) how to accelerate internationalization process of NCC from national center to international advanced climate center.
Dr. Dong Wenjie presided the seminar and made summing-up speech. He said, we should make great efforts to enhance the prediction and projection level of climate and climate change, improve the quality of operation product services, establish classical products on climate change. He demanded that, we should further improve the communication and cooperation between national and provincial climate centers, clarify the criterion and flow of operation and services on climate and climate change on various levels, push forward the innovation system construction on climate and climate change, so as to facilitate the speedy development of NCC.
