In July, 500hPa Height circulation over middle and high latitude in Northern Hemisphere presented its wave pattern as a “3”; abnormal ridge of high pressure developed in Europe, western part of North America and northern region to the Baikal Lake. Correspondingly, the anomaly field was controlled by 40-potential-meter positive anomaly with the central value above 120 potential meters from Europe to Greenland, from western part of North America to North Pacific, and northern region to the Baikal Lake. The rest of regions was covered by normal or negative anomaly, in which the anomaly center was lower than 200 potential meter in Ural Mountain. The area of sub-tropical high in northwest Pacific was obviously larger than normal. Its intensity was stronger; the location of ridge line was slightly northwards and the western extended ridge point was slightly westwards.
