On 8 August 2006, Dr. Ye Duzheng, Academician of CAS, one of the founder of modern atmospheric sciences of China, world famous meteorologist, visited the Beijing Climate Centre accompanied by Dr. Dong Wenjie, Director-General of BCC. During his visit, Dr. Ye realized the development and construction of BCC, encouraged every scientific and technological staff. His visit was the best support for the construction in field of climate and climate change and the climate services during the flood season.
Dr. Ye Duzheng visited the BCC facilities accompanied by Dr. Dong Wenjie, Dr. Li Weijing, Dr. Luo Yong and Mr. You Youyuan, as well as Academician Chou Jifan. The leaders of BCC introduced the construction of BCC, climate trend prediction and climate services during flood season, as well as the construction in field of climate and climate change.
Dr. Ye highly appraised the achievement of BCC. He wished BCC would strengthen domestic and international cooperation, continued its efforts in innovation and breakthrough along the scientific path.
