The serious drought in Chongqing and east of Sichuan attracted wide concern from public and media, including the major foreign media. Mr. Bailiang Chu (senior reporter of Reuters) interviewed Dr. Dong Wenjie, Director-General of BCC, on August 23. Dr. Dong briefly described the conditions and causes of drought in Chongqing and east of Sichuan, and also answered the questions from Mr. Bailiang Chu on climate change, and talked about our government measures in dealing with global warming. Meanwhile Dr. Dong also introduced BCC's research and services on climate change.
