September 10 is the 22nd Teacher's Day, this years’ theme is respecting teachers and education, and teachers should be examples of students. September 8, teachers and students of BCC and Huafeng Group of Meteorological Audio and Video Information gathered together to celebrate the Teacher's Day. Dr. Zai Panmao (Deputy Director-General of Department of Forecasting Services and Disaster Mitigation/CMA), Mr. Ding Shiping (Consultant of Department of Human Resources/CMA), Mr. Qin Xiangshi (Chairman of Huafeng Group of Meteorological Audio and Video Information), Mr. Shi Yongyi (General manager of Huafeng Group of Meteorological Audio and Video Information), Dr. Dong Wenjie (Director-General of BCC), Dr. Li Weijing (Deputy Director-General of BCC), Dr. You Youyuan (Deputy Director-General of BCC), Dr. Bian Lingen (Vice president of Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences), and Dr. Liu Yanhui (Director of Meteorological Press), altogether nearly 70 teachers and students attend the meeting. It was presided by Dr. Dong Wenjie (Director-General of BCC).
In recent years, BCC and Huafeng Group of Meteorological Audio and Video Information have made significant achievements in pursuing a capacity-building strategy though highly qualified staff. In the strong support and help of Department of Human Resources/CMA, the postdoctoral research station was officially found. It will be an important step in training high-level academic leaders and strong support for Huafeng Group of Meteorological Audio and Video Information and BCC’s high-level capacity building.
During the meeting, the participants talked about China's meteorological development. The teachers hope students to love their majors, study hard, master skills, be unity and cooperate, self-cultivation, and strict demands on themselves and become a useful talent. In a warm atmosphere throughout the meeting, teachers spoke earnestly and were full of their loyalty for education and love for the students. They had high expectation and love for the young students. The meeting was successfully completed.
