The 2nd training course on Wind/Solar Energy Resources Survey and Assessment was held in Wind/Solar Energy Resource Assessment Center/CMA on Nov. 30, 2006. Dr. Dong Wenjie (Director-General of BCC) and Dr. Xing Rujun (Deputy Director-General of the Office of Energy Resources Leading Group/CMA) attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Dr. Luo Yong (Director-General of Wind/Solar Energy Resource Assessment Center/CMA, and Deputy Director-General of BCC) presided the opening ceremony.

The training course was based on the 3rd National Wind Energy Resource Assessment. It will further promote the development and application of climate resource, the construction of climate and climate change, and the reform of professional & technology system.

The four-day training will provide technology and talents for the coming National Wind Energy Resource demarcation and sophisticated Assessment. The training content has expanded than the last year, the teachers included wind/solar energy resources survey and assessment experts, and especially invited the general managers of Longyuan Power Group Corporation and Xinjiang Wind Energy Resources Investment Company to introduce wind energy resources and wind power projects, and listened to their suggestions and demands of wind energy resources survey and assessment from wind power projects angle. We hope that through our continuous efforts and training, we would form a long-term monitoring, prediction and service capabilities on wind/solar and air-water resources gradually, and better serve the economic and social development.
