On 8 December 2006, Dr. Luo Yong, Director of Center for Wind and Solar Energy Resource Assessment (CWERA), Dr. Tao Shuwang and Professor Zhang Xiuzhi welcomed Mr. Jim Platts, chief scientist of UK RyleTechnology Ltd., Mr. Du Yingzhuo, chief director of the China region of UK Ryle Technology Ltd., Mr. Qi Haining, manufacturing engineer of Wuxi Ryle Zhufeng Ltd. and Mr. Chen Tao,wind power project consultant of Wind Energy Power Investment Ltd. Dr. Luo Yong introduced the situation and development of CWERA, and Mr. Jim Platts talked about the development process of UK RyleTechnology Ltd. and his point view of the manufacturing industry of Chinese Wind Generator. He said the current design standards are based on European climate conditions and many of them are not suitable for China, he hopes to cooperate with CWERA to find out the safety design standards for Chinese Wind Generator by experimental observations. They discussed the future cooperation and decided to choose a wind farm to carry out the observations of gradient wind and pulsating wind, so that to do the designing, manufacturing and test for Chinese Wind Generator.
