Deputy Administrator Zheng Guoguang listened to the recent climate report of BCC

Dr. Zheng Guoguang (Deputy Administrator of CMA) and related leaders from Department of Forecasting Services and Disaster Mitigation listened to the recent global and national climate report, discussed the causes of recent climate anomalies with the experts, and gave suggestions on how to make corresponding decision services. Division of climate prediction and division of climate impact assessment of BCC introduced on global and China's winter temperatures, precipitation and extreme climate events.

After listening to the reports, Dr. Zheng Guoguang (Deputy Administrator of CMA) required BCC to strengthen monitoring, prediction and climate impact assessment analysis; strengthen climate change research and understand the situation of global warming, analysis China’s climate, and predict future climate trends; so to offer service for the party, government decision-making and public in time. Meanwhile, he stressed the need to speed up BCC’s building, strengthen BCC’s outreach, and prepare the declaration of WMO Regional Climate Center.

Dr. Wang Bangzhong (Deputy Director-General of Department of Forecasting Services and Disaster Mitigation), Dr. Li Weijing and Dr. Luo Yong (both Deputy Director-General of BCC), Academician Ding Yihui and related experts participated in the discussion.
