The Program of 2007 BCC International Visiting Scholarship Launched Successfully

In order to expedite construction of BCC to fulfill its role of WMO-RCC, the Program of BCC International Visiting Scholarship has been carried out since 2005. On 26 March 2007, Dr. Li Weijing and Dr. Luo Yong, Deputy Director-General of BCC, had a meeting with three BCC international visiting scholars who have recently arrived in Beijing. They are Mr. Dhiraj Pradhananga from Nepal, Mr. Sajjad Saeed from Pakistan and Mr. Abdoulaye SARR from Senegal. They will accept training and make cooperative research on climate modeling and seasonal prediction under the direction of each research group from March to May 2007. The second group of 2007 international visiting scholarship will be implemented from July to September 2007.
