As a small number of political government agencies for wind and solar energy resource assessment and service, Center for Wind and Solar Energy Resource Assessment/CMA participated in the "2007 China (Shanghai) International Wind Energy Exhibition & Conference (CWEE2007)". They displayed the research results of more than a year at the conference, and the delegates, domestic and foreign experts and investors paid close attention on them. CWERA use the WEST mesoscale model to carry out China's 5×5 km and Local 1×1 km wind resource simulations, and attracted a great many foreign experts, they discussed projects for cooperation and other aspects of the study. Domestic and foreign developers and investors also interested in the meteorological disasters assessment of wind energy resource development and wind power forecasting, they asked for information material, consulting project and made requests for cooperation. The participants hope CWERA will become a government's authority, and technical guidance and standardized management of wind energy resource assessment.
