May 15, Dr. Li Weijing (Deputy Director of BCC) received representatives from European Parliament, such as Mr. Maori (Special Representative of British Prime Minister), Lord Michael Jay (Director-General of UK Foreign Affairs Office), Mr. Anders Wijkman MEP (Former UN Assistant Secretary General), Mr. Adam Matthews (Secretary-General of climate change dialogue for GLOBE international and G8+5), and Mr. Martin Lees (Former Chairman of CCICED).
Prof. Liu Hongbin from Division of Climate Change/BCC introduced the research results and our professional work on climate change, and the latest monitoring and prediction results in details. Academician Xu Jianmin, Dr. Wang Kuojun (Deputy Director-General of Department of Scientific and Technological Development/CMA), Dr. Chen Zhenlin (Deputy Director-General of Department of International Cooperation/CMA) and BCC experts attended the reception. They had discussion on special issue of climate change.
