May 24, Dr. Aurel F. Moise (BCC visiting scholar) from AMA invited to make a speech named "Probabilistic Climate Change Projections for Australia" and "Asian-Australia Monsoon in the IPCC AR4 data: initial results". Prof. Gao Xuejie presided the meeting.
His reports mainly on the regional climate change in Australia and Asian-Australia, including: 1) Precipitation will be a measure of monsoon, and verified the method possibility. Then he analyzed the IPCC AR4 model simulation of modern Asian-Australian Monsoon, and analyzed the future possible change of Asian-Australian Monsoon. 2) By using REA (Reliability Ensemble Average) method to analyze the IPCC AR4 model simulation of future Australian climate change. REA method first proposed by Dr. F. Giorgi, BCC also use it to analyze the IPCC AR4 model simulation of future China climate change.
BCC experts and postgraduates, Mr. Sarr Abdoulaye from Senegal National Meteorological Administration and Mr. Sajjad Saeed from Pakistan Meteorological Administration attended the meeting.
