In October, global temperatures in most areas are close or a little higher than the same period. The mean temperature of most areas in Asia, Australia and North America, Eastern Europe, Central and East of South America, Northwest of Africa are 1~2℃ higher than the same period. Specially, in some areas the temperature is 4℃ higher. The mean temperature of Northeast of West Asia, Northern Mongolia, and some areas in West Africa are 1~2℃ lower than the same period (Fig. 1).
Month precipitation in South Europe; Southeast of Siberia; some areas in Central Asia, West and East Africa; South Africa; Central and Northern areas of North America are 50%~100% more than the same period. West Asia, Central Asia, North of South Asia, most areas of South of the Yangtze River, part of North Africa, most of Australia, East of South America, southeast of North America, and Alaska are 50% less than the same period. Some areas have no precipitation in October (Fig. 2).
