The national key project of the tenth five-year, "Study on Strategy against Global Environment Change and Support Technology", was checked and accepted on 13 February 2004. The expert group composed of several academicians identically thought that, in the two years the researchers in various institutions had made remarkable achievements in the following fields: the establishment and renovation of the historical sequences of climate change in China, the assessment on the historical change of human activities and natural force factor and their possible impact on climate change, the analysis on the climate change threshold to the sensitive region in China, energy-economy-environment integrated assessment model, assessment on biological diversity and ozonosphere destruction.
