Mr. Yan Hong, Deputy Secretary-General of WMO, visited BCC on 4 May 2008. Dr. Xiao Ziniu, Executive Director-General of BCC, Dr. Luo Yong, Deputy Director-General of BCC, accompanied Mr. Yan to visit the operational consultation system on climate and climate change, and introduced operation of climate system monitoring, prediction, impact assessment and climate change. Mr. Yan introduced construction of WMO and its tasks on climate change. He wished BCC could enhance the operation on climate prediction, climate monitoring and assessment, optimize resource and strengthen management, to take the opportunity to increase the development on climate and climate change.
