At present, the earthquake relief work has entered the crucial period, BCC actively provide climate protection services for earthquake relief. In the evening of May 16, experts from Division of Climate Application and Service worked together to carefully analysis the background climate of Sichuan earthquake area. May 17, Dr. Xiao Ziniu (Deputy Director-General of BCC) led experts from Division of Climate system Monitoring and Division of Climate Prediction worked overtime, and comprehensive analysis the disaster areas. At last, they gave the climate trends prediction of disaster areas in June, so as to provide climate protection services for the reconstruction of disaster areas.
