May 30, Dr. Paul Chan (IMSG Chief Executive Officer, Former NOAA CIO) visited Climate Change Center/CMA, and made a report named “The management of climate disaster” on the Forum of forefront climate change science. Dr. Zhang Wenjian (Deputy Administrator of CMA) attended the forum.
Dr. Paul Chan explained that how to use the risk management to better adapt to climate change and climate disasters, and the strategy and comprehensive measures for the adaptation to climate change and improve the adapt ability from different angles. The participant experts had a discussion on China's research and development of the adaptation to climate change, how to better adapt to climate change, and how to carry out the regional climate risk assessment and risk management issues in China with Dr. Paul Chan.
