The 29th session of the intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is held in Geneva from Aug. 31 to Sep. 4. the Chinese delegation led by Administrator of the China Meteorological Administration (CMA) Zheng Guoguang participated the meeting.
The major mission of the meeting includes: celebration of the 20th anniversary of the IPCC, election of the presidium of the IPCC and other related issues. The opening of the meeting marked the formal start of the fifth assessment process.
