During the recent 2 weeks, 2 British meteorological forecasters Mr. Andy Page and Mr. Jon Millard visited China Meteorological Administration, Beijing Municipal Meteorological Bureau and Qingdao Meteorological Office. They also attended the weather consultation for Beijing Paralympic closing ceremony. They expressed that the Beijing Olympic meteorological service gave them a deep impression.
The 2012 summer Olympic Games will be hold in London. In order to accomplish the meteorological service, Mr. Andy Page and Mr. Jon Millard specially went to Beijing to view and emulate the experiences of the Beijing Olympic meteorological service. Both of them praised the high level of the 2008 Beijing Olympic meteorological service from their deep hearts.
They believe that progress comes from learning. London’s weather changes a lot in summer. So they hope that through their visit in China this time, they can provide the same high-quality meteorological service during the London Olympic Games.
