The first meeting of overall authors on second National Assessment Report on Climate Change was held on 16 January 2009. Composed of 116 experts, the compilation team will start to work based on the detailed outline determined in the meeting. The compilation work is an important action of China on actively addressing climate change which will significantly promote the capacity building of China on climate change.
The Report consists of five parts, “history and future trend of climate change in China”, “impact and adaptation on climate change”, “assessment on impact of climate change mitigation on socio-economy”, “assessment on assessment methods of global climate change”, and “policy, action and effect of addressing climate change in China”.
The second National Assessment Report on Climate Change will be formally issued in June 2010.
