In the afternoon of Sep. 14 the 15th Session of the Joint Working Group for Meteorological Science and Technology Cooperation between China and Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) was held in Beijing. Shen Xiaonong, Deputy Administrator of China Meteorological Administration (CMA), and Ko IL Hun, Director of State Hydrometeorological Administration of DPRK, were presented at the meeting.
Both sides introduced respectively the latest development of both sides’ meteorological undertakings, looked back the implementation of tasks defined since 14th joint session and exchanged views on the technology of WMO information system, agrometeorology, short and medium term weather forecast, data processing and application of meteorological satellite, international training class, sandstorm research and observation cooperative research and volunteering cooperation programme.
It is reported that China and DPRK have held 15 joint working sessions since 1972.
